Alkaline foods, when eaten in large quantities solve so many problems and speeds up your metabolism and digestion and provides energy in so many ways. By doing this one thing, you will find your fat melt off your body and see your muscles get more toned. As I talked about in the "Speed Up Your Metabolism", proper nutrition and the removal of excess acid from the body and toxins from foods and from the body, will result in increased energy and dramatic weight loss.
Body pHThere is an ideal "Body pH" and when this body ph is out of balance, your body's metabolism is skewed. You can read more about it on my page, "Body pH" One of the keys to achieving this in one sweep is to incorporate alkaline forming foods into your diet. It is actually better to call it alkaline forming foods. When each of your cells go through their own metabolic processes, they create their own new set of chemicals and waste products. When the foods your eat are imbalanced and provide too much of one substance then the imbalance causes the cells to create acidic products. To counter this effect, you can ingest more alkaline foods (or alkaline forming foods). In the society we live in today, it is hard to escape acid forming activities and food. You have to work hard to find food that is not laden with sugar. This includes food at restaurants. The demands of life cause stress which cause acid to be secreted within the body. Most food sold is so deficient in necessary nutrients and is so processed that not only does your body need to work extra hard to break this food down, it also finds very little nutrients available. The result is a tremendous amount of waste matter that also is very acidic. It is really no wonder that obesity rampant in this country. Going on a restrictive diet of eating only protein, or only water, or only soup or anything like that is not going to provide long-term results and lead to optimum weight loss because not only do you feel deprived but your body is truly deprived. Don't go on a calorie restriction diet. Balance your nutrients so that there is minimal deficiency and they can create a synergistic effect. This synergistic effect results in a metabolism that is naturally making you lean and vibrant. It is building healthy, muscle, bones, skin, hair, you name it. It is making you lose weight, lose fat and feel great.
