If I cook my food at 180 degrees?
will this harm the quality of the food verse raw eating?
Is alkaline water important for weight loss and keeping healthy?
Please help
Thanks Ken

Hi Ken,
Yes Ken cooking your food at that temperature kills enzymes. Enzymes in foods are what make them metabolizable.
There are these hard core raw foodists that get into these exact temperatures of exactly what temperature enzymes are killed. As if I am going to actually measure this in my busy days.
Heat absolutely changes the chemical nature of raw foods and renders them less metabolizable.
The general rule is:
From eating to cells with as little waste and as little time as possible = optimum food.
Heat and cooking slows the process down. Raw foods go from eating to cells faster.
As for alkaline water. If your pH is off balance, your metabolism will be affected. It will slow down simply because the pH balance of your body is crucial for the survival of the cells.
Anything that restores this balance will help your metabolism be at its optimum level.
A metabolism that is at its optimum level metabolizes body fat very easily and this causes healthy natural weight loss.
For me it is just so much easier to eat foods raw. I find them delicious and time saving.
