Do I need to spread my water consumption throughout the day?

I have struggled with weight issues all my life and have tried NUMEROUS plans and diets. Through all of my experiences no one has ever been able to answer this question, not even my family physician. I am not a big water drinker, which I know is not a good thing to begin with. But here is my question. Can I drink my full daily requirement of water in one sitting? I have never been able to drink water throughout the day. Every time I have tried to do that, I never drink it. If I make myself sit down and drink an entire 64 oz. at one time, it's not a problem. But what are the advantages and disadvantages to this? Thank you

Thank you for your question.
The answer is that drinking a lot of water at one time is not the same as drinking over time.
This is an analogy but it does paint the picture. If you were to get a plant and instead of watering it everyday, poured a months worth of water on it at one time.
It just doesn't work that way.
Your body can only use so much at one time. When you are hot, or exercising or even stressed, you will use water more or lose more water through evaporation. Under normal circumstances you will lose about 2 - 3 litters of water normally.
Drinking coffee or any other diuretic will also cause more water loss.
So drinking a lot of water at one time will just cause your to urinate most of it out pretty soon after. Since your body cannot use all of it at that time.
It can take some time to get used to it but drinking water regularly is good for health in general and it can be a skill to get used to but you can do it.
