Foods not on Alkaline/Acidic lists?
by Lindsay
Hi,
There are a few foods that I didn't see on the three lists you provide for an alkaline diet (Alkaline to eat freely, alkaline to eat sparingly and acid foods). What categories would winter squash (ie: spaghetti squash, butternut squash, etc), greek yogourt with probiotics, flax seeds, and corn fall under?
Thanks!

Hello Lindsay
All of them are alkalizing except yellow corn.
But there are a few things to keep in mind.
for yogourt, try to keep it organic and goat dairy. Unfortunately any other kind of dairy is acid forming.
For corn, there are thousands of different corns, The darker the less sugar. The more bright yellow the more likely it is a GMO corn and also full of sugar. Sugar is unfortunately acid forming. Also GMO foods were not tested on humans before release. The latest studies have shown that GMO foods, especially corn, cause a rapid increase in white-blood cell count.
I also want to say, it is practical to make most of your food alkalizing. IT does not ALL have to be alkalizing to get benefit. And many people I meet try to make it ALL alkalizing and then give up.
Cheers,
Yegyan
