Hello, My son has just given blood at his doctor's office, and there is alarm that his cortisol levels are high. My son is 17, and 300 lbs. He has worked out ( sometime ,extremely hard ) for quite some time, and nothing seems to work to get the weight off. Please help, What can I do to help him lose weight more healthy wise. thanks, His Father william ferguson

Hi William,
In a case like this I would start with the basics.
Get off the sugar, increase the fiber, fresh foods, hydrating and getting some kind of light exercise everyday.
WHen you have a child 17 years old and 300 lbs, I would start with the basics. (Now Im assuming this is not being done).
Being overweight to that extreme is extremely stressful to the body and will also elevate cortisol levels.
If you are already doing these things and it is not resolving, that is an entirely different issue.
Let me know, please! I want to get this issue looked at!
