High Protein Diet Myths

"End the confusion around a high protein diet."

A very common question I get is "How much protein should I consume?" Another is "How will I get my protein if I eat raw foods or if my diet is primarily plant foods?"

I want to address that in this section.

The first thing is to ask these questions:

  • When was the last time you met someone who was protein deficient?
  • How did you know this person was protein deficient?

The point I am making here is that you will be hard-pressed to find someone today who is protein deficient.

In fact, you will have a very hard time finding someone who is deficient in ANY macronutrient (protein, fat, carbohydrates).

Today, there is an overabundance of availability of macronutrients. Not a shortage.

So let's clarify the issue about protein. How much does one need? How do you changes the rate at which it is used? What are sources of it? Can vegetarians consume enough of it? Is there enough protein in a raw foods diet?

That is what I will be adding to this "High Protein Diet" section.
