Inflammation In The Body
"Inflammation In The Body Can Be Confused With Body Fat"
Inflammation in the body is a very simple reaction of the body to respond to injury, poison or any acute threat to the organism. An example of this is a mosquito bite. The mosquito lands on your skin, sucks your blood but also injects a poison into your skin. Defense Mechanism
The poison does not cause your skin to develop that bump. The resulting bump is caused by your body in response to that toxin. It attempts to localize it and dilute it to make it less acute. It stores body fluid there in an effort to prevent the toxin from spreading. This is a simple example of inflammation in the body Generalized Inflammation
Now imagine the effect of the mosquito bump but throughout out your entire body. This is the in fact what is occurring with people who are chronically overweight and feeling poor. There is a generalized inflammation in the body that is not localized like a mosquito bite. Their soft tissue is inflamed. The skin, the organs, etc are inflamed. Body Fat Measurements Confused with Inflammation
Many of you will start taking your body fat measurements and weight and other measurements. You will eventually see or meet someone who has a lower fat percentage than you and better measurements but are smaller than you. Smaller in such a way that you just know it does not make sense for her body fat percentage to be less than yours. Just looking at the person, it is obvious. Here is the disconnect. The body fat device is only separating very basic densities. There is bone and muscle that have certain densities. Everything else is lumped into "Fat" This number that is supposed to mean fat can include inflammation. For example, when someone is diabetic and overweight, I put them on a protocol that addresses their health first. I need to get the inflammation down first. This will drop-kick the physical stress the body is under. It will help eliminate cravings, give relief to the person. But there is also a sudden drop in weight and body measurements. It is the reduction in inflammation. When a person drinks a lot of alcohol, they get puffy. Puffy eyes, puffy face. Puffy. Allergies
The same is true for allergies. The allergen does not cause puffiness per se. The body gets puffy to combat the allergen. It is a response to protect the body. This is inflammation. It is the same response the body is making to the toxin of the mosquito bite. It is just doing it to the alcohol. It is trying to reduce the destructive and poisonous effect of alcohol from damaging the organs. Cause Fat Storage
If there is inflammation in the body, there is stress in the body. There is an allergen, a toxin, a threat. This will result in an increase in cortisol. If this is not addressed then cortisol will cause fat storage in your body. If a person starts to exercise harder and starve themselves, that may exaccerbate the inflammation in the body. Thus causing more stress which causes more cortisol which causes more fat. Specifically belly fat. I hope this is helpful to you. Coaching
