is there a way to tell if your going over the heart rate you should, without a heart rate moniter?

by lorraine
(san francisco)

i am a poor college student at the moment, can i tell this by just how im breathing, sweating, or feeling?

i actaully started walking up hills, instead of running because im surrounded by hills lol. (though most of them aren't terribly intense hills, just enough to make my heart rate KIND of )

when i came to your site, it all started to make sense. i really want to try training like this but i dont have a heart rate moniter and SERIOUSLY i doubt i will get my hands on one. even if its 45 bux its not going to happen. and i see they are usually like 80 bux.

is there a way i can just count my heart rate for like ten seconds and then multiply it by 6 or something? or should i multiply it by another number for the falloff factor?

my email is lorraine.goodrich@gmail.com.

please lemme know! thanks
