male diastasis recti
by Richard Armin
(Toronto)
My twin brother has been diagnosed with diastasis recti after eliminating hernia from consideration.
All self-diagnostics obviate this condition as quite severe in my case.
No doctor has suggested this as a possibility to date and I will see my GP next week.
A common complaint of sufferers is that they cannot lose weight and any abdominal exercise exacerbates the condition.
Any ideas?

Hi Richard!
So good to hear from you!
ok so diastis recti as far as I
know if a physical injury or damage
to the physical structure of
the rectus abdomini muscle.
For adults it is usually
caused by too much stretching.
For adults the stretching
can be caused by digestive
disorders or too much visceral fat
pushing against the muscle.
I would look for a therapist
that specializes in that
injury first. Sorry I am using
the word "injury" for lack
of a better word.
Then after he has that under
control or while he is getting
that under control, I can help
him with the underlying cause.
I hope this makes sense.
