Eating frequently reduces excess insulin, it keeps the stomach small, and it increases nutrient absorption. Eating frequently also keeps you satiated. When you eat a big meal, it floods your body with insulin, which also makes you hungrier. With bigger meals eaten after long periods of time in between, your body goes for longer periods of time without food! That alone is a very important reason to increase meal frequency. It is unhealthy to keep starving your cells. Keeping your cells fed also reduces stress on your system. This will also stop cortisol from being produced. Cortisol is extremely effective at producing fat. A last note here is that this is one aspect of weight loss. To get the fastest and most permanent results I suggest not using only one thing to be successful with your natural weight loss.
