Meal Frequency and Appetite Control

Meal frequency is such a stable standby for your natural weight loss. This one thing alone without changing anything else will cause you to lose weight. But this page is more about appetite control.

Simply stated, eating smaller meals frequently stops you from being hungry.

So, eat more frequently. Eat smaller meals.

There is a place in my neighborhood. Makes a great Grilled Chicken Teriyaki. They have a lunch special for $4.99. But this is a big meal and a great deal!

So here’s what you do, eat half of it. Don’t get soda with the meal. Drink water. Try to get a side of vegetables with the meal.

Another tip for increasing meal frequency is to go through the list of "Alkaline Foods to Eat Freely" Turn as many of them into snacks that you can bring to work.

What Does Eating Frequently Do?

Eating frequently reduces excess insulin, it keeps the stomach small, and it increases nutrient absorption.

Eating frequently also keeps you satiated. When you eat a big meal, it floods your body with insulin, which also makes you hungrier.

With bigger meals eaten after long periods of time in between, your body goes for longer periods of time without food! That alone is a very important reason to increase meal frequency. It is unhealthy to keep starving your cells.

Keeping your cells fed also reduces stress on your system. This will also stop cortisol from being produced. Cortisol is extremely effective at producing fat.

A last note here is that this is one aspect of weight loss. To get the fastest and most permanent results I suggest not using only one thing to be successful with your natural weight loss. It is best if you have a comprehensive program that addresses your entire lifestyle. The many books and diets out there tell you what to eat and how to exercise but they do not address the hidden sources of sabotage.

Using the information here is best used as part of a comprehensive natural weight loss program. If you are interested in getting natural weight loss consulting that is tailored to you, you are welcome to get contact me for an initial consultation here: "Weight Loss Program"
