Estrogen Dominance Weight Gain

Progesterone is a hormone that works with estrogen. However, there is a ratio which they need to work together. When there is a reduced amount of progesterone, there is excess estrogen in the system that is unbalanced. There are two times this estrogen dominance naturally occur in a females life. That is puberty to early adult and the second time is during perimenopause. So, things all things remaining equal, there are times when more fat will be created and deposited in the lower abdomen (hips and thighs, and below the belly button, ).1,2,3,4 And as such, the exercise, diet and lifestyle regimen should be adjusted to adapt to this for effective, plateau-free weight loss.
