Natural Weight Loss Stages
There are different stages to natural weight loss. In this page I will be writing about them and also explaining how different programs and techniques fall into these various stages. The Fat Burning Stage
This is the most promoted of all natural weight loss solutions. This is where you have the lush photos, the extreme workout infomercials late at night, the extreme diets, juices, flushes, contraptions, etc. The promoted item here is to burn fat. For some, or for many these things will work and will burn fat. Let me give you an example: P90X is one of the most promoted exercise programs today. I bought it and did it. I liked it so much that I did it three times. And it did burn fat. I graphed my body fat percentage and weight everyday and it dropped. I started the nutrition the right way and it dropped more. I felt fantastic. But I was in shape to begin with. The program even has a fitness test (different from mine) that states that you need to have a certain level of fitness to make this program work for you. Case in point: A co-worker of mine started it and after one week on the program he got sick and was out from work for 3 weeks!! It was too intense for him. He was really out of shape. Not obese or anything. He just bragged all the time about how much alcohol he drank and he smokes and is very sedentary anyway. For months after this he could only do Day 1! of the program. That's it! He ended up doing half the routine and was able to progress through the most of the program but still it was filled with starts and stops. But more to the point here, he has not lost fat. I also get clients that have stubborn fat and have increased their exercise intensity level. No results. What I have found is that there is a precursor to constant and effective natural weight loss. Natural Weight Loss - Healing Stage
When fat loss is not occurring when it should it is because of two general reasons: - The diet and exercise are not based on the current state of your body. The exercise is not the correct intensity and the food is not what the cells need to rid the body of fat.
- There are health imbalances that are preventing the body from functioning normally.
Let's take the adrenal glands and the adrenal system. If the adrenal glands are taxed intense exercise will cause fat to be stored on the body. Let me repeat that. If the adrenal glands are taxed intense exercise will cause fat to be stored on the body. Yes, in this case exercise will cause fat to be created. Even belly fat. The exercise in this case needs to be gentle and BELOW a certain heart rate. It needs to focus on the circulation of lymph and the oxygenation of the blood and cells to alkalize the blood. In a case like this, the body is so acid. Intense exercise causes more acidity. Gentle oxygenating exercise causes alkalinity to an acid body. But this is just an example to illustrate a point - a precursor to natural weight loss and natural permanent fat loss or prolonged fat burning, is the healing of health imbalances. This is done through having the right exercise and a diet that heals your body and glands. So for those that cannot lose weight no matter how hard they try, there is usually a healing phase that is needed first. The best course of action for this, (and I have tried many) is a lot of deep sleep, recuperation, and raw foods that are high in moisture. Specifically, 80% - 100% moisture content and they have to be raw. The more a person sticks to this, the deeper and the more thorough the healing will be. They will feel better than they have felt in a long long time. And as a side benefit, there is dramatic and quick weight loss during this period. It is also the most dramatic because the person heals from the inside out and they look so different. Even if the weight loss goal is not met, there is no doubt in the person's mind that changes are taking place within the body. But still there is a more fundamental step. There are some that take a long time. There is a period of discomfort, stagnation, water retention, bloating, etc. Especially in the beginning. What I found is that a detox is need to speed things up. So I incorporated that as an undercut. Originally I used a raw food diet to do both the healing and the detox at the same time. It did produce results. But I was interested in making things go faster. The detox before the raw food healing phase was the trick. Natural Weight Loss Stages - Detox
In this stage, I first have the person get their sleep regular and we complete a sleep diet. They are also used to eating 6 times a day and have experienced a rise in energy production and energy stability. They are feeling better and not having highs and lows and intense cravings. Then we start the detox and there is a day or two of some emotional release and also some intense cravings. But it ends and they experience a moments of euphoria and deep relaxation, mental clarity and general lightness. The detox is simple, the basis is through very high liquid foods only. From 90% to 100% moisture content foods and all raw. There are many different ways of detoxing, this way, takes the water that bathes the cells and replaces them with clean, balanced and healthy water. The previous water was toxic, acidic and poisoning the cells. It was preventing the healing I was trying to get done on the natural weight loss healing phase. This water can be hard to get rid off. You have to feed the body with live nutrients that are flush with enzymes, negative electrons, alkaline forming, liquid and therefore very easy to absorb through the intestinal walls and also high in fiber. If needed, herbal formulas and teas are also used in this detox. In this stage you will see a release of water weight. There will be weight loss and a sudden drop. It will not be as dramatic as the raw diet healing phase. But you will notice it. This will expedite the healing phase and make it more comfortable for you. Because it is so high in liquids, and also raw, there is a tremendous alleviation of stress on the bodily systems. Especially your digestive system. You also want to take a fiber supplement with during this stage so your stomach and intestines have something to work against. When there is a sudden drop of solid foods passing through the digestive tract, it can feel uncomfortable because the muscles do not have something to exercise with. So by finding a better way to expedite fat burning, I ended up finding three stages of natural weight loss that is healing and permanent. The detox, the healing phase and then the fat burning phase. They are all a part of natural weight loss. Not just one. I have found that by doing it in this order, the fat loss is easier and dramatic and permanent. It is so because you are handling and resolving the underlying reasons for the difficulty in the first place: - damaged or over stressed body systems,
- toxic liquid surrounding the cells that are not releasing.
So I hope this puts into perspective the vast spectrum of weight loss products, diets, exercises and programs. The reason they work for some and nor for others is because the people fall into different parts of this spectrum. If they are rested and their glands are functioning normally they will do fine with an exercise program. But if they over do it and/or under do it they will CREATE the illness and/or imbalance. It is best to just go through each if in doubt. Detox, healing and then fat burning. In this manner you can go through your entire journey with little to no plateaus of fat loss.
