New info. And progress

Question:

Hi Yegyan (and everyone else):

After I submitted my first email, stating how frustrated I was becoming, I heard a doctor talking about sugar - natural and refined, and just how much we consume, whether it be candy or fruit. He said that the max. daily sugar intake should be around 25 grams. Eight oz. of carrot juice, one serving, has 25 grams! I added up my daily sugar intake, on my juice diet/fast, and I was close to 150-200 grams per. day! the doctor said that the excess sugar is stored as fat. It was a little bit more complicated than that, but that was the end result.

For the last ten days I have started increasing my protein powder shake, and decreasing the amount of juices I am drinking. The shake is a chocolate powder drink by Herbalife and it taste like a milkshake. It's really good, and it really keeps me feeling full throughout the day. It has only one gram of sugar, and is 80 percent protein. I am watering down the juice I drink all day to about 20 percent juice and 80 percent water. Since juice is so good for you, and tastes so good, it's easy to drink hundreds of calories of it and it's all sugar.

In these last ten days, I am starting to see that layer melt away and I am seeing my figure! I forgot how good it feels to see the body you like in the mirror. I am close to 30 days with no solid food, and it is just my way of life now. I don't even think about solid food and am not tempted at all. I'm not sure how long i can do this and stay healthy. I feel great. If health were not an issue, I would do this forever, or as long as I could. It's easy and inexpensive too.

Can you tell me how I take the free analysis? I can't find which link to click on. I still think that something is not right. I think that most people would be a lot further along than I am after an entire month, so I would like to figure it out.

Thanks!

Stacy

Answer:

Hi Stacey,

Well first of all, great job on a few things?

First I am totally amazed that you actually went through the effort of measuring how much sugar you consumed. I did that too and it was a turning point for me.

I am basically sugar free and it is the way I want to be. i feel so much better and it just is way better to live this way.

By measuring your sugar intake with juicing, you've basically answered the question, "Why am I not losing weight even though I am juicing?"

Most people juicing are drinking sugar water. Worse yet, it is fructose and that coverts to fat even faster than sugar.

So yes you hit the head on the nail. USA can basically stand for United Sugar Addicts.

Reducing sugar will always improve health. Diabetes, heart disease, cholesterol, strokes, etc. People stil think it is fat. but it is sugar.

The Herbalife one is not bad. There are sites where you can get bulk whey protein. If you buy that, mix it with raw cocoa and then with stevia you can make your own protein shake and it is less expensive. Also, there is no artificial sweetenner. Most protein shakes use sucralose which is an artificial sweetenner

I love what you said, "In these last ten days, I am starting to see that layer melt away and I am seeing my figure! I forgot how good it feels to see the body you like in the mirror."

The longer you give it with very low sugar, the more dramatic the results will be.

YOu asked or said you're not sure how long you can go on a liquid diet and stay healthy. Well, I'll answer that for you. People will not like my answer and I get flack for it all the time. But you can go on indefinitely.

I once went on a 30 day water fast. And before that I did a 30 day limeade fast. I lost very little muscle and became very fit as a result.

Now, I don't know what kind of exercise you are doing, but if you exercise and exercise vigorously, then solid food will be needed to keep your energy up.

I also would recommend shifting or cycling your foods so you are getting different nutrients from different places. When you eat (or drink) food from different sources you ensure you get a bigger range of nutrients and that is important.

A liquid diet seems scary to people and a doctor told me it was really bad I was recommending this. I had to ask, what happens if someone has a broken jaw and are recovering? Or plastic surgery on their jaw. Or even major dental surgery. Don't they need to have a liquid diet because they can't chew? Sometimes they have to go for two to three months!

"Oh" he said. "You have a point" But it shouldn't be done for weight loss. (sigh)

Good job Stacey!
