Quick Weight Loss Tips

These quick weight loss tips are based on a lot of trial and error with clients. The quick weight loss advice I give on this site and with my consultations are based on healthy quick weight loss by healing functions and organs of the body that are weak.

Because these are tips they are general in nature.

Tip 1:

Juice Fast. This is an quick weight loss tip. Make the most of your consumption of foods that are alkaline forming and also moisture rich. The list of these foods can be found on "Alkaline Foods" and "Moisture Index"

The more your diet is comprised of these foods in liquid or non-liquid form, the faster you will lose weight.

This can mean that you can make it 100%. This can be in the form of a juice fast.

A liquid diet for a week or so does amazing things for your natural weight loss. Not all your consumption has to be liquid. As long as it is between 90 and 100 on the "Moisture Index"

This will drop your water weight very quickly and also hydrate your cells properly based on the proper hydration outlined in "Drink Water to Lose Weight"

Tip 2:

Transition to a liquid diet/juice fast. When I have a client I usually incorporate a transition phase where they get used to consuming high moisture foods and especially foods that alkalize and hydrate your cells.

In the transition I do the following with my clients:

  • Make sure they are eating at least 6 times a day.
  • Make sure that at least ½ of what they eat is high mineral, high moisture, raw food.
  • Eliminate hunger the right way by being well nourished.
  • Make sure they get enough sleep. What is enough? If they wake up and are not rested it is not enough. I get them to go to sleep earlier until their body has caught up.
  • Make sure that if they are exercising, it is the correct intensity as outlined in "Best Exercise to Lose Weight"

When these are attained I have them switch to a diet that is higher in raw foods if not completely raw.

THEN go on the juice fast

Tip 3:

Get on a sleep diet. Lack of sleep or lack of enough deep sleep causes excess hunger. You can read about how sleep affects appetite in "Appetite Suppressant" It prevents your body from healing. It makes it harder for you to think. Lack of sleep also causes fat storing hormones to be released.

Often times I get a person to get enough sleep first before getting to diet and exercise. You can also read “Sleep Deprivation and Weight Gain

Especially if you are doing a detox of juice fast, you need to get a lot of rest during this time.

Tip 4:

Get organized. Look at your week and plan out what you will be doing. Then look at how your meals will fit in. Then work backwards and plan for the week. The last thing you want is to feel hunger.

Get all your vegetables and fruits ahead of time.

Every night, prepare your next day so it is ready to go. You can visit my "Weight Loss Recipes Preparation" page for how to prepare. It gives very general guidelines for preparation.

Tip 5:

This quick weight loss tip is worth its weight in gold. Avoid hunger. Hunger has been the mortal enemy of my clients. The solution is to prepare ahead of time.

Another solution is to have the Alkaline Foods Lists handy as well and the Moisture Index . If you are in a pinch having these lists can help you make better choices when emotions are running high.

Tip 6:

Take fiber supplements. I use Arise and Shine psyllium husk supplements. I also suggest preparing "High Fiber Foods" as well. Many of the alkaline forming foods and the high moisture foods are high in fiber so that makes things a bit easier. Fiber helps the stomach and digestive tract feel full. These are muscles and they are used to having substance to work with. Going on a quick weight loss juice fast will change this a lot. So it can cause some discomfort or strange feelings. Fiber helps a lot.

The other supplement I suggest is a trace mineral supplement. I use "Concentrace". I get it at health food stores. But you can also go to their website. This keeps the body mineralized and this will help utilize energy levels in the body.

Tip 7:

When in doubt eat more. The common thread I see from my clients is they have been brainwashed into deprivation. When you are eating alkaline forming, high water content foods, the more you consume the better you will do. Your quick weight loss will go faster.

Tip 8:

This quick weight loss tip should be followed ONLY if you are NOT doing any resistance training or strength training.

Follow the food combining rules. especially the one that says not to mix the fruits with the other foods.

Again if you are an athlete, I do not encourage this. You will be to hungry and your athletic performance may suffer.

Tip 9:

This quick weight loss tip is also for those that are not doing strength training or heavy resistance training. Consume a small amount of the fruits and only as the first meal right when you wake up. The tendency will be to consume a lot of the sweet fruits. This will not work well because you will be getting a lot of sugar and this will prevent the body from breaking fat down. It will also cause insulin to be secreted and insulin stops all fat burning hormones.
