With coaching we schedule a weekly meeting over the phone, Skype, in person (if you are in the area), Yahoo or MSN Instant Messenger, or any online communication that is available to both of us. But you get 24 hour turn around to your emails and phone calls. You will get priority to all your needs before other emails and questions.
You get your questions answered faster. Also, because we talk often your anwers will be based on much more knowledge about you and your preferences and needs. I guide you to your "Fat Burning Zone" and make it as easy and smooth as possible to change your lifestyle so everything around you supports a healthy and fit lifestyle. Your "Fat Burning Zone" is where your body has converted to using fat for fuel rather than storing it. People who cannot lose weight are not able to do this. To stay in the Fat Burning Zone, you have to exercise within certain guides and eat within certain guides. These guides are dependent on your body and nervous system. I teach you how to do this. We don't just go over your food choices and exercise routines. We also usually go into the emotional and mental aspect of weight problems. It is a very gentle and smooth process. The "Weight Loss Coach Program" and support goes through a few very in-depth phases. Data Gathering The first step is the information gathering and interviews for me to determine what type of person you are, what kind of lifestyle you lead (travel a lot, business owner, executive, stay at home mom, athlete, model, etc) your program is designed with your lifestyle in mind. This is missing a lot on weight loss programs. Your lifestyle can make some weight loss techniques impossible to do! Then we go over my evaluation of your health, heart rate measurements, history, medications schedule, etc and the step-by-step program I design for you (as outlined in the Evaluation and Written Program). This is where the official coaching starts. Discovery Phase In general, the first month is a discovery phase. We both learn about your life and what will truly work and not work. Only when you start to put order into your environment do we both find out what REALLY comes to light. If you are able to dive right in and detox, then great. but many are not able to do that for many reasons. So the first month is a discovery period of what is the applicable point for you to start your journey. We find what change you can successfully implement towards your weight loss transformation. Then we increase these changes in such a way that it is a new routine and not a major overhaul of your life. You will find more success by acquiring stable skills in life. Preparation Phase The next major stage is the Preparation Phase. This phase is to prepare your body for the correct type of exercise you need and also to do a detox of your liver. This is where your metabolism is reset. For some, you have not exercised in a long time, so you need a build up a program. For some, you have been over training or you have worn your body down through poor diet and lifestyle, you will need a recovery program. Your diet will be adjusted as well to make it more and more fat burning but in a way that avoids what people hate about dieting - feeling deprived, exhausted and mentally foggy. I monitor energy levels and heart rate recovery to see that your internal fitness is increasing as it should. You will be feeling better and better all the time. Detox Phase Then I coach your through a detox so your hormones can rebalance and your body can heal. Also, so you can release the toxins that have been making your body store fat with a vengeance. After this point I coach you through the stage where you are in the "Fat Burning Zone" this is when you metabolism is switched from storing sugar and fat to using fat for energy. This is usually the best people have felt in their entire lives and they feel their entire life has changed and is in a new plane. At this point the body is transforming dramatically inside and outside. It is not just losing weight. It is transforming its shape. It is looking luminous, radiant, younger and feeling much stronger. New Life Phase The key here is to have a new life routine for monitoring your health (I teach you specific ways to do this), your fitness, and the CORRECT way to monitor your weight loss results to stay on track towards your goals and also the rest of your life. This is a crucial time because you will find that the reasons you got into the physical condition you did not just come from a physical source but from a mental and emotional one as well. You need a new game to play with your physical state. I teach you how to set up new activities in your life and set new goals for your body that you never thought possible. The key at this stage is to get your attention off your weight and your body and put all your attention on the future. Being overweight has to become a thing of the past. New Abilities & Games Phase Many clients go on to run 10K's for the first time, run a marathon, take up biking, sailing, martial arts, etc. They learn to start using their body as part of their lifestyle. I will teach you to find new ways of getting pleasure that food used to give you. You will be using your body in ways you have not for years (or maybe decades). If you are not losing weight fast enough, or are not losing weight on your current diet and exercise programs, there is a reason and the reason is not that there is something wrong with you.
