Heart Rate Monitor

A good heartrate monitor is essential for the person wanting natural weight loss. As I write about all over this site, in order for your exercise to truly contribute to fat loss you need to know whether it is aerobic or anaerobic.

By determining your aerobic threshold you can tell what is aerobic for YOU. You can end the days of using the wrong exercise and not getting long term results. This is the one I have used for over 6 years. It is the low end of Polar's product line but it served its purpose well.

Decent easy to use device for a good price.

Use it at the same time of day to get good comparisons.

If you are losing weight the natural healthy way, you will be targeting your fat loss. Not just weight.

So use a caliper or something like this to measure your progress.


Rebounder

A Rebounder is one of the best pieces of exercise equipment for the person wanting to lose weight naturally.

Low impact, stimulates circulation of lymph, and oxygenates the cells with less effort, very easy on the joints so my clients that have gotten up to the point where they can jog but jogging is hard on the knees, rebounding is a great alternative.


Resistance Bands

These resistance bands are here only because there were recommended to me. Several of my friends who are athletes, clients and trainers also said they liked them because they lasted long, were easy to grip, and there was a clear difference between the resistances.

I always recommend getting at least three levels. Even if you are using a heavy one, you can add resistance by using two at a time.

You may also be surprised at how soon you will use the heavy or very heavy resistance. Some muscles are built to lift heavy resistance. For example, the deltoid muscles (shoulder), trapezeus, calves and all short dense muscles. Light resistance is useless with these muscles.

From left to right the resistances are: Light, Medium, Heavy and Very Heavy


Bowflex Select Tech Dumbbells

These dumbbells are very versatile and allow you start with a very light weight but also graduate up to heavier weights later as you build your strength.

The picture does correctly show the relative size of these dumbbells. When you get them they are much larger than you will anticipate them to be.

There comes a point where bands may not be enough for you. After your fat % gets to 30% to 25% you want to start using heavier weights if you want to take the fitness route.


Juicer - Omega 8005

For the money, this is the best juicer I have tried. Can't say I have tried them all but I think trying 15 is a good enough number to feel like I have not been glib.

My Criteria:

  1. Easy to clean
  2. Easy to juice
  3. Color juice is darker than others and pulp is very dry.
  4. Juices leaves. Without juicing leaves you can't use the most important foods for weight loss!
  5. Warranty.

Hatha Yoga Lessons and Routines

Hatha Yoga is the form of Yoga I recommend for people no matter what plan they are on.

If someone is on an adrenal plan, they will need to do light exercise and this is one of the best forms of exercise to rebalance and sympathetic and parasympathetic system to allow regeneration. Together with the correct diet and exercise plan, it aids in converting the body from a catabolic state to an anabolic state.

Even of you are on a strength and bodybuilding program, this will assist in building strength and also shorten recovery time.

You are welcome to get all three, but the first video, done at deeper levels can last you for years.

Anyone on my program will be having to enhance their oxygenation capability. Interval training, after the adrenals have recuperated, is part of the ideal fat burning, anaerobic conditioning program to reset your metabolism.

Strength Training DVD

I have gone through many many books to find exercises for my clients to lose weight naturally and permanently.

Nothing will compare to compound exercises that use as many muscle groups as possible. That narrows the list down to the power-lifts.

The results have been great ... when the client can get the form right.

This is the book that goes with the DVD. It is a good read. Straightforward and to the point. It outlines the exact things you need to look for to get your form correct and increasing your strength and rebuilding your hormonal make up fast.

If you bought my book or are a client, you know the power of using strength training the right way and its effect on your long-term health.

The wrong form will give you limited results at best. Injury at worst.

The right form will give you strong knees, and shoulders.
