Weight Training Equipment
"Weight training equipment does not have to be a mystery."
On this page will go over effective equipment to purchase to get the best natural weight loss results from your exercising with weights. This can help you save time, money and effort is selecting your equipment. Also reduce stress in having to choose from so many different choices. As I said in "Weight Training Intro," weight training is the best exercise you can do. But investing in weight training equipment can be pricey. An economical way to do this is to use the recommendations here. Note: The main complaint about good products for the home is how they look. Most of you reading this are women and the marketing for these products are for men. So the name, the box, and colors, and the whole scheme can be unattractive to you. I am working on designing products that do the same thing but are more attractive. Bowflex™ dumbbells are great for weight training equipment. These are dumbbells that allow you to change the weight of the dumbbells. There is a dial at each end of the dumbbell and with this dial, you can chose what weight you want. Then when you lift the dumbbells only a few plates will stay locked onto the dumbbell and the other plates will stay in the dumbbell holder. I have tried several different brands that do the same thing. I looked for used ones to see how they performed after a period of time of use. Many of the other brands were shaky and seemed loose. The selector of what weight to use was hard to use. They would get stuck. There was also a smaller range or weight to chose from. I lift heavy and simply need a real weight. I use resistance bands in conjunction with my weights. But if I had to chose I would use only the weights. But that is me. I have been an athlete for a long time and I lift very heavy. I also want to know exactly what weight I am lifting and I cannot get this with the bands. Also, because the bands resistance changes as you stretch it, I personally do not like the feel of this changing resistance. But for most of my clients, this will not be an issue at all. Additional Weight Training Equipment
There is another drawback to the Selectech weights. When used alone there are exercises you cannot do anymore. The bench-press-type exercises and pull-down-type exercises are not possible with the weights alone. These are incredibly important exercises. If you get these dumbbells or dumbbells like these you need two other pieces of equipment. A bench and a pull-up bar. As you probably guessed I tested a lot of different one’s. I found a bench that I love and that I consider very good value and I also found a pull-up bar that I really like. For the bench, I recommend the Bowflex Bench. Specifically, the Bowflex 5.1 Series bench. This gives 5 different angles instead of the three angles that the older model gives. It has a brace for your legs that is extremely helpful when doing certain exercises. An example is the include bench press. When you do this with most benches your feet end up pushing the bench back! It is also durable, and very stable, looks good and is easy to clean. Having this will allow you to do bench-press-type exercises. Other Weight Training Equipment
For the pull-up bar there are many different kinds and they are relatively easy to find here in the US. You can go to any sports shop and you can find a basic one that is used in a doorway. Eventually, as you get stronger you may want to get into fitness more than weight loss. For this you want to have the ability to have several different grips. This is where the simple pull-up bar will not suffice. If you are thinking, “There is no way I will be able to lift my body weight!” Relax. For almost all my clients, lifting their body weight will be the a lofty goal. There are ways to make these resistance exercises easier. As you get stronger you will learn how to increase the resistance. With this pull up bar you will need to drill holes in your wall somewhere and screw it in. So keep that in mind. The Best Solution:
