What are the reasons behind the composition of the weight loss meal?
I feel a bit confused about the mixing of protein and starch- one part of the book mentioned that the digestive juices for these two macros cancel each other out. So I guess my question is what is the reasons for eating them together? (I understand that taking digestive enzymes will help but I am still a bit confused)

The reason is to make it easier for people.
Also when you start doing resistance workouts you will get better results if you combine it. You'll see when you start resistance training.
And as you pointed out, taking the digestive supplements, as we all should, takes care of the problem of enzymes cancelling each other out.
As you read in the book further I also show you how to cycle the starches. So that also helps the enzyme problem.
